I can understand the first two, but that's like saying you don't care if your Pokemon has Ember instead of Flamethrower or something.

I clone Pokemon. But hear me out. On Sapphire, I cloned all my Pokemon and sent the clones to Pearl. On Pearl, I cloned all my Pokemon, and sent the clones to White. And on White, I'll clone all my Pokemon and send the clones to the Bank. I don't like one way transfers, as that means the game is officially over.

IVs, EVs, and such are OK, but treating Pokemon as a competitive game just feels like its dramatically missing the point. Why have hundreds of "useless" pokemon if you want the game competetive? Why would the games put an emphasis on bonding with your team if the player is just going to ditch them anyway if they don't have the right stats?

The emphasis on battling is the cause of all this, I'm pretty sure. Can't I just have a game where I can get some infant pokemon, raise them, and go on a grand adventure with them without having to worry about stats or competitive mugging/dogfighting?
