Caught a Shiny Sableye in Reflecting cave during a Y Nuzlocke. It was kinda funny because for a while in that game(and in my X when I traded it over after I failed the locke) It was the ONLY Sableye I'd seen, so the only dex entry was the shiny one. I'd forgotten about that factor.

Chances are, the rate was lowered to 1/4096 or something.

I got two shiny Pokemon my first time through, and two shiny Pokemon from the safari.

Either I'm incredibly lucky, or the rate was increased.
Or tipping increases the rate, because I tipped over 200k so far.

I caught my most underwhelming shiny yesterday. Phanphy. There is literally no difference whatsoever from the shiny and normal versions other than a slightly lighter skin tone. I had to do a double take just to make sure. The star doesn't lie though.

When a Nincada evolves into Ninjask, if you have an empty space in your party and a pokeball in your inventory it produces a Shedinja as well. I'm wondering if the Shedinja would be shiny.

You get Ninjask and a Shedinja as long as you have space and a pokeball. It SHOULD be shiny upon evolution.

Got a timid protean froakie from Wonder trade yesterday. I just started breeding a few of them to get some trade/give away material. Third one to hatch was a shiny... So yeah, shiny timid protean with seemingly at least decent IV's.

I wasn't planning on using it but I guess I have to throw it in my team now. On the other hand the color is pretty bad on the froakie at least, it's just very light blue instead of blue so no drastic change, though I think a shiny Greninja might have bigger difference in its looks.

There's no magical shiny counter, each individual egg has the same tiny chance to be shiny. You just keep trying until you hit that chance or give up but the first egg and the 400th egg all have the same chance.
