Anyone else find the face recognition game incredibly hard to use? My wide eyed and kissy face rarely get accepted and it always drops in and out of actually recognising my face, I've only completed this once

the only one I got right all the way through was with gardevoir, ending with "close your eyes, turn your head, kiss face"
At the time I was sitting up and holding the game an appropriate distance from my head. And also moving my head and face in as many combinations as possible until one of them came out correct.
