Aegislash is immune to Toxic which is the big concern for status, not having King's Shield massively gimps the entire way Aegislash functions.

Burn is what threatens Aegislash, moreso now since Will-O-Wisp got buffed to 85 acc.
It should also be considered that most of Aegis' weaknesses don't make contact, either, such as EQ, Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Shadow Ball, etc

Burn is a concern sure, but not one great enough to completely gimp the entire way it works. If you cannot go back to Shield stance then you've fucked up. And the contact part is just an added bonus, the important part is the protect and return to shield stance.

Because against pokemon like Gengar that Stab priority move can make or break you.

Probably to revenge kill or for a last ditch attack when Aegis is low on health. I would rather use Pursuit/Iron Head though since nothing is immune to Iron Head and Pursuit might kill Pokemon that switch out when the opponent thinks that you'll use Shield Form.

I really don't know why. Plus hes cooler looking. And if you evolve him Shadow Sneak is a waste unless you can kill, since he will revert back to attack and have shit defense.

He has 150 base attack.

Shadow sneak will have 60 power.

Not much sure, but his stupidly high attack that has already been boosted will make quick work of many Pokemon.

it works great against his Ghost counters, because it's also SE.

It's because the stab bonus is factored in towards the end of the total damage calculation instead of the power of the move being boosted by 50% Granted its not higher by too terribly much but its still a little higher

Malamar might be a good physical check to Aegislash, at least on paper. The latter has no SE attacks to the former, barring Fury Cutter, and no one uses Fury Cutter. Malamar makes contact, so its attacks are blocked by King's Shield, but with Contrary, it gets x2 Attack for free. Should Aegislash decide to go on the offensive, Foul Play or Night Slash fuck it over.
