I had to waste turns switching because my Pokemon didn't know a single move that wouldn't OHKO them.

The point is that they're telling you how many turns you should wait before eating your meal. Win too quickly and it might be too hot, win too late and it's too cold.

It's silly, but if you talk to some of the customer NPCs they react along those lines when talking about their food.
