With the warehouses converted into homes and art studios, Nacrene City reminded me of Brooklyn. The Battle Subway had a close design and feel to the MTA subway system, Particularly the stations where you wait in between trains. Castelia is flat out Manhattan. And all that emphasis on bridges.
The rest could really have just been generic countryside,but the environment design never seemed to have left New York State. Except for the desert of course.
But maybe I'm being biased.
