Just hatched me a Timid Froakie with 31 Sp.Atk and Speed and other high IVs, along with Hidden Power ghost.

Thoughts on this moveset?

HP Ghost/Ice Beam/Scald/Grass Knot@Expert Belt/Life Orb eventually

I've only got Jolly Furfrou's as a pet project. Not sure what to start next after Froakie

is passing down IVs still using battle items? are they postgame? i'm trying to take it as slow as possible

Pack U-turn instead of Grass Knot and maybe give Choice Band, but Expert Belt is nice too.

Why use HP Ghost when you could use a more powerful and STAB Dark Pulse? Ghost doesn't hit Normal types and only hits neutral on Fighting and Fairy over Dark.
Even if you want to cover the Dark weaknesses Extrasensory would be a stronger choice.

He essentially gets STAB on everything.
The difference is that it changes its type to pure ghost, which gives it the option to spinblock and block fighting attacks.
I thought it was a neat little trick.

Sure, just lemme check some IVs for speed.

Also to whomever asked I didn't use power items cause I ain't got access to them yet, bred it like a donkey by having multi safari Pokemon with desired IVs
Took me some 70 eggs to be satisfied

If you're talking about that green thing in the middle.. it's hard to tell if one of the stats is perfect by just looking at the screen, though.
