I would say mid to lower uu. Possibly the tier below. Stats aren't that special. Signature move isn't that special. Hidden ability is interesting, but not that special. No chemistry between these three things either. Slap a choice scarf on it and it could get a lucky KO if your opponent has no podracin skills. Overall, it screams mediocrity.

Great Speed, and while limited, its movepool consists of 2-4 heavy hitting attacks that are STAB and off its ~115 Sp.Atk

However, it'll never be OU because of its shit abilities and limited movepool.

Yeah. All Delphox needs is some decent moves added to its movepool and it'll be a viable Pokemon, although it's DW Ability is kind of lack-luster at best. Flareon is FUBAR.

If they gave Delphox a Fairy-type move next gen or even Energy Ball/Focus Blast/Thunderbolt, it'd be easy BL/Low OU. It could happen next gen, but by then it could be too late.

Ok novice. Just stick with the story mode and don't touch competitive battling. Tiers aren't the final say for anything, just a general guideline. Sure, some nu pokemon can counter some ou pokemon. Tiers just mean that most of the time, that nu pokemon will have it's shit blown the fuck out of it by most ou pokemon.

Someone can teach Delphox Dark Pulse, Moon Blast, and/or Aura Sphere through breeding to allow it to be useful.

Delphox's biggest problem is that its mainly just a Psychic/Fire Blast user, but there are other pokemon who can use those moves WAY more efficiently

Its funny how I've also beaten smogon users with lower tier pokemon and yet they would keep going on about their tiers like its impossible for a someone of a lower tier to win. It does make it harder for one team to win but its not impossible. Its all the more satisfying to win with whatever Pokémon you want.

Hard to say. Sceptile has high speed and good SpAtk, and is RU. Delpohx has dual STAB though, so that's a boon for an offensive mon. Delphox is probably one of the best special attackers of its generation, so I think there's hope for UU with OU viability.

Greninja is OU with Protean.

Chesnaught will be competing with Donphan and Hitmontop for tanking duties. Not sure about it.

Smogon is the place where they find viable sets for lower tier mons in higher tiers.

I've been using a Delphox (Rash, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP) online with Psychic, Shadow Ball, Grass Knot and Flamethrower and it isn't going so well.

That said, most people are using the X/Y starters and I'm literally hitting them for shit but I guess that is to be expected.
