What's the best way to build Tyrantrum? I've seen his stats, and his great attack and bulk are interesting to me, but I'm wondering whether I should go Attack and HP, or use my Charizard to breed DD and Fire Fang onto him, and focus my EVs on Attack and Speed.

Any of you have experience with him? Which set is better?

Considering that it's only 20% increased in power, you have a bunch of 75 power moves, that if super effective do no more than a stone edge. Better off edgequakeoutrageDD than any jaw moves.

Set Description:

After a Rock Polish, Tyrantrum reach 498 Speed, or 546 Speed. Alternatively Tyrantrum can also run Dragon Dance. Combine this with its powerful STAB Head Smash, it can become a nice cleaner, bypassing the downside of Choice Items at cost of setting up.

Keep in mind that STAB head smash is so ludicrously powerful that even resisted hits are nearly as strong as neutral dragon claws. He'd probably want something there to deal with whatever can escape rock/ground coverage instead.

And he is BOUND to learn outrage, I mean sure charizard cant breed it into him, but salamence cant breed it into garchomp either. There is bound to be some mon who can pass outrage onto him. He is called tyranTRUM, tantrum, and it describes his bad temper as a tyrunt. Outrage is the perfect move for an angry dragon, he even tries to learn thrash for gods sake. There has to be some way of breeding it into him.

From what I remember, you put the everstone on the pokemon whose nature you want on the baby. This gen, it works 100% of the time (I can confirm that). I also heard that females can pass on egg moves (can't confirm that) and that males can pass on abilities (that, I can confirm). Finally, babies are in whatever type of ball the mother is in when they hatch.

His base speed isn't really THAT bad. It's just not as fast as some of the quicker Pokemon that have been released in the past generations. Rock Polish and Dragon Dance help him solve that problem. So maxing out his speed is viable since he can run those two stat boosting moves.

Fun fact: It's physically impossible to breed DD AND the fangs at once onto a Tyrunt. In order to get all the fangs you'd need an Arbok for the father, but Arbok cannot pass on DD as he doesn't learn it.

Well, the traditional method for IV checking has been to take mons into fixed battles (like on WiFi) and check their stats at level 100.

Though apparently this hasn't been working? It seems that there's some sense that IVs get automaxed in WiFi.

Which kind of makes me wonder why anyone cares about them anymore, except for HP Type.
