Hey /vp/ I just beat X and have no idea what I'm doing.

I've fooled around on Smogon and understand IVs, EVs, Natures, and Abilities and why they're useful, but I don't know how to breed a good Pokemon with good IVs, or how to check them. I hear wild baby Pokemon have 3 perfect IVs and friend safari Pokemon have 2 perfect IVs.

Is there a guide somewhere? My friend and I haven't played Pokemon handhelds since Ruby and Sapphire, and we really want to breed good Pokemon (read good, not autisticly perfect).
