Stupid question, but shinies can still appear in friend safari, right?

I only ask because I've been filling up my Pokedex all afternoon, so the possibility of bumping into a shiny would be a bonus.

Oh, and I caught a shiny Inkay the day the game officially came out. It's now a Malamar named Marmalade.

Seems to work well. Also gives you maximums eggs/hatching/per step efficiency as you're always getting eggs and always hatching new ones.

Make sure you have a Talonflame in your party to decrease the number of steps it takes to hatch.

Finding one in the wild sucks. Got my first and only wild shiny five minutes into White, it was a piece of shit that I didn't like, had terrible nature and IVs, felt like shit about it.

I'd much rather be able to determine that sort of shit through breeding.

Shiny Hoppip during a horde (first day of playing)
Shiny Staravia (second day of playing)
Shiny Skorupi (just about an hour ago)

Don't have any of them in the previous games either (except a Shiny Starly)! I want a 6th generation shiny now.
