Ummm this isn't true. Master Balls seem to be the only exception. I caught a shiny Aipom in a masterball, female, and its offspring all showed in a standard Pokeball.

Everstone has nothing to do with it. Everstone passes on natures. I can successfully pass on every other type of Pokeball--Quick Ball, Dusk Ball, Ultra Ball, etc.--through the female without holding an everstone. But Master Balls always show up as standard Pokeballs.
