>>14757008 Decide which stat is most important for it. So if you've got a Garchomp, you want it to be fast and powerful, since it aims to move before the opponent and OHKO them rather than tanking a hit. You also won't be using Special attacks at all, so you'll want either Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) or Jolly (+Spd, -SpA)
Alternatively, consider a support togekiss, running thunder wave, wish, heall bell, and air slash. You want this to survive and care less about the damage output. Making it Calm (+SpD, -Atk) makes it bulkier and doesn't reduce the power of your only attack.
If you're really getting advanced, you'll identify specific metagame threats and give your Pokémon exactly the right nature and EVs to take their hits and KO them.

What makes this game different from the other pokemon games? Aside from the new pokemon and cookie cutter 8 gyms followed by elite four? (not bashing, just calling it what it is). A lot of my friends have been really hyped about the game and I'm wondering what makes this one different. I haven't heard people get this excited about pokemon in a while.

Anyone mind helping me out? Trying to figure out how to trigger the post game stuff like the mega-ring upgrade and the looker quests. Help?

So is affection and happiness the same thing? I'm trying to evolve my Budew and it has max affection but it's not evolving. And if they are different then is there any quick way to level friendship?

There have been balance changes, but if you're unimpressed by things like the physical/special split of gen IV or abilities in gen III, you're not going to feel this generation is any more sufficiently "different"

Does anyone know where to find Dark Pulse on Route 15? Looked damn near everywhere.

>>14760836 Affection is from the minigame, Friendship is from leveling up, massages, vitamins, etc.
>>14760885 They should explain you need to hm up from the route below.
Confused me too.

I want to say it's cut, waterfall, and surf. Cut to get to the water, surf to the waterfall, waterfall up.
