Alright so I am kinda new to the breeding world, and just have a few questions:

1. How do you get a pokemon's dreamworld ability in this generation?
2. Lets say my Mienshao has a 31 in special defense. Will its offspring receive that 31 only in special defense, or will it be placed in another stat category?
3. Does the flamebody trick really help hatch faster?

Awesome, I had no idea about that power item thing. Where are they located in X and Y? And the thing is im breeding timburrs, so im trying to get Attack to have that 31. Could the 31 from my Mienshao end up in that attack spot?

Just to piggy back off of OP's question, can you use the ability changing item to give your pokémon a Dreamworld ability?

Same place you get the power items along with every other item
The battle maison (sp?) in the post game city sells all the trade items , rare candies and all sorts of shit but you have to grind a bit for them.
And it doesn't give you hidden abilities.
I'm not sure about DW ones but if a pokemon can have 2 it'll let you choose which one you want.

Three IVs are passed down at random from the two parents' stats. So if a parent has 31 Sp.D, the kid will have a chance of having 31 Sp.D. The 31 in Sp.D can't be passed down to, say, atk. You can guarantee that the stat will be passed by using a power item. The remaining four stats are decided at random.

It's just a mechanic. Having a pokémon with flame body quickens the hatch rate.

Okay, but like thats only for pokemon not found in Kalos. Take for example the poster above's Greninja. Why on earth would it have a hidden ability if you cant find one with a hidden ability? Will there ever be something like dreamworld again?

Hidden abilities can be gotten two ways (besides trading and breeding).

1) in Horde battles, sometimes one of the horde will have its hidden ability.

2) in Friend Safari, IF THE FRIEND IS CURRENTLY PLAYING, you can find their mons with the hidden ability sometimes.

not OP but I've started to sorta understand breeding and so far have bred a few togepis with 31hp and 31defence but they are the wrong nature

and since togepi only levels up from friendship that takes ages is there anything else I can do with them? or should I keep breeding off the togetic and ditto till I get a togepi with good IV and nature?

I'm a bit new to this too, but i would suggest to keep breeding them for the right nature if you have the patience, make the parents with the best IVs you can. I would breed two pokemon with different high IVs though, so you have a better chance of getting spread out IVs rather than just the two you want. If that makes sense! You can also just WT them off if you're feeling generous, or hand extras out here.
