I want to raise one so badly. I'm torn between an offensive Bulk Up/Spiky Shield/Hammer Arm/Shadow Claw or a bretty trol defensive set with Sub/Leech/Spiky Shield/Hammer Arm.

In my opinion, the only way to truly utilize either set is through EVs/Nature so a mixed set wouldn't be as optimal. Also, rolling with pure fighting dmg is silly because of ghost types. They're the reason I'd take shadow claw.

It's essential to his SubSeed set and at least for the purposes of forcing switches is essential on the offensive set. No physical attacker is gonna sit in on Spiky Shield and when they switch you punish with Bulk Up.

Yup people forget that Power-up punch also boosts the power of Spiky shield on top of leech seed and weather damage it can be a scary thing.

Quilladin is one of the easiest to super train. Makes quick work of the Haxorus, Golem, and Wailord balloons.

When you have no EVs, you're not going to do as well on harder courses.
