Took cabs everywhere and I used the 3* rotation battles to grind out some low level pokemon (since they get 100% for being on field+lucky egg). I'm not sure how long it took, I just know that I started getting called stylish by cab drivers and all that. Chart's here

One method to not-walk is to hold the 3ds in one hand, long side parallel with the floor (i.e. normal) and just rotate my hand so rocks around. One I've been using today is just putting it in my cargo pocket and bouncing my foot

It might be reasonable to assume the shiny rate has increased, but certainly not to the extent some people might think. It's important to remember that there are just a fuckton of people on /vp/ playing X/Y right now. Anyone who's been on this board when Gen V came out would remember (assuming they have a decent memory) that a lot of people reported shinies then too. There were actually quite a few threads at the time bringing up the notion that GF increased the shiny rate for Black and White, and people eventually just concluded that it was more because the player base was gigantic.

Basically nobody knows, and it could easily go either way.

Yes. It's how I managed to eke out the final bit of style I needed.

If you're unsure how much style you have, go check the price of the Kanto starter mega stones in the Stone Emporium shop. If it's 10,000 you're either at max style or really damn close to it.

You can check the highest IV(s). Friend Safari is guaranteed 2 perfect IVs though, and ditto is a potential mon in them.
