Okay, why the FUCK does everyone on the GTS want a Scizor? Seriously, everyone asks for either one of these guys or a damn Xerneas. What's so special about Scizor? I mean, hey, I fucking love Scizor, but why the sudden want for it? Is it because of its Mega?

Seriously, it takes 5 minutes to catch and evolve a Scyther if you have a Metal Coat and a friend. Why the hell does every trade request want a Scizor?

Okay, but look at all the people who want a Scizor for their shitty Pokemon. They have access to the internet; clearly they can go on some sort of message board and get help evolving their Scythers and shit.

Because half of the people on the GTS aren't interested in trading and are just showing off their pokemon, or expect to trade shit and get shit ten times better. Sadly there's only a handful of people who do actual good trades on GTS.

Do you realize there is only ONE Metal coat, right?

So is as much as saying there is only one Scizor for game (not even that much because some people will go for Steelix)

So both him and Steelix are basically legendary tier.

He's an in-game trade and pretty shitty.
Metal Coat is basically just Scyther's evolution item in X+Y now.

The vast majority of Pokemon players don't go on sites like Smogon, 4chan, Reddit or whatever and rely entirely on the GTS to get trade pokes. Mystery solved.
