There's still complaining. It's just less dense because of the other threads about everything else the stuff people complained about being old news.

Basically Pokemon is what you make of it. If you're only in it for the single player then it's worth about 15 hours of entertainment, which is Ok-ish. To get maximum value you really need to interact with other people playing it which is why you get people who have been wonder trading and shit and spent 25 hours on the game before the second Gym, those people are going to feel pretty good.

Honestly with the way the internet has been implemented this Gen it's as close as you'll ever get to a Pokemon MMO, interacting with other people is 70% of the game if not more.

I somehow spent 76 hours on the single player before I beat the Elite 4. I guess I went real slow. Also had all 70-80+ by the time I was fighting the Elite 4. Didn't go out of my way to grind much either.

Really fun game. Solid. Except for the main city. Fuck that place to hell and back.

I didn't fuck with any breeding. Did probably EV train and max effection 8ish pokemon though.

Super tedious, but worth it.

I hit lvl 100 before hitting E4, about 50 hours clocked. Didn't try to grind, just captured everything and battled everybody. Had max fondness and lucky egg but still.

Usually I just blitz through, there has to be something about this gen.
