Personally I just ride left and right in front of the daycare. It's handy because once you have 5 eggs, you can do a hatch one/deposit it/pick up new one cycle almost constantly.

Yeah, from what I understand it's a "Safari Zone" of sorts that lets you catch 2 (3 from people who are postgame) types of Pokemon in a zone with a randomly generated type and set of Pokemon. You get more to choose from the more friends you have.

You can google it on serebii there's a basic guide.

In a nutshell, after you beat the E4 you get access to a town that has a Safari that generates 2-3 random pokemon (3 if they beat the E4) for each friend you have on your 3DS. So the more friends you have, the more variety.

I am back and I have seen the glorious light of what is Destiny Knot. Long post incoming with a quick, yet decisive test.

Parent A: Outstanding JP Ditto with Def/Sp.Def 31 (nothing/destiny knot)
Parent B: Outstanding ENG Pinsir with Atk/Speed 31, bad Sp.Atk (everstone)

First I breeded 10 eggs with this combo with no items on the ditto. Most of those pinsir had only one maxed IV and few had two. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

Then I bred a first batch of 5 eggs with Destiny Knot on the ditto. Here are the following children:
Pinsir 1: Superior, Atk/Def/Sp.Def 31, bad Sp.Atk
Pinsir 2: Above average, Def 31
Pinsir 3: Above average, Speed 31, bad Sp.Atk
Pinsir 4: Outstanding, Atk/Def/Sp.Def/Speed 31(the promised one is born!)
Pinsir 5: Superior, Atk/Def/Speed 31, bad Sp.Atk

I understand 5 eggs is a very small test group, but look at those results! Looking at example 1, 4 and 5 you see that FOUR of the both parents IV's got passed on!

tldr; Destiny Knot lets you pass at least 4 IV's from both parents if either parent holds it. Feel free to ask questions and I will reply the best I can. Breeding some more pokemon in about an hour with the same method too, and can post results again then.

In there with an adamant synchronizer grinding for a shiny Charmeleon at the moment, planning to check out how the shiny mega evolutions look, then trade it for another X-exclusive mega stone. Also, how would you train a Mega Charizard X? I figure he's a physical sweeper based on the ability so I'm going adamant 252 Atk & Spe for now, no clue about the moveset, Dragon Dance maybe, can he learn that?

Both sides of the arguement are good if you ask me. I can understand wanting to feel pride in what you have created. But you know, I feel pride in these too. If they are bit faster than they used to be? Who cares. Battling is where it's at anyway, yet I don't have to feel bad for using a pokesav but instead get to create the pokemons myself.

Kinda same deal with super training, it's way more fun and faster than EV training and let's you get into battling faster, not to mention being able to replace a team member/make a new team waaaay faster. I like that a lot.

I love the way people think passing 5 IVs will make breeding easier. You've still got to generate those 5 31s before you pass them on, all it makes easier is the ability to make more perfect 'mons once you have one.

Have you seen the new VS video? You can save multiple videos, use the simulator function to do calculations or tests or whatever, there are quite a bit of new functions.
They gave back auto-level for 6vs6, it's the best you're going to get and it's a damn good compromise. You can realistically play fan-made metagames with legit non-RNG'd pokémons while Nintendo keeps monopolistic advantage over flat battling which doesn't require half a dozen clauses and a banlist 8 years old can't comprehend to not crumble.
Plus they are proposing one "fun" non-conventional metagame a month, like this month with the new-pokédex only singles battle.

Level 50 is moderately different than 100. Level 50 metagames usually have more efficient EV spreads, which is the main difference. When everything has a couple points spare because they'll get their max stat with less investment it changes it a bit.

Realistically, yes, but why? The only advantage battling on cart has is saying that you bred your team. This is no longer much of an accomplishment if you have the wifi to battle you will have the wifi to trade. LANs don't really have problems with connection errors as much, so that's why I pointed out wifi. LANs also don't particularly need a spectator feature because they can easily display both screens.

Hopefully there should be other arguments on the whole real byte vs fake byte battles debate than that. Like, Gamefreak really tried to make battles pretty this gen.
And even then, the pride of the real byte also comes from the idea of being able to EV train it, level it, do various in-game stuff with it and not just having bred it.

I'm stilll lurking too, breeding more things. Destiny Knot seems pretty solid for breeding. Kinda obvious question but asking anyway to give thread some traffic.

I have two slow bulky pokemon that I don't care about speed. (trick room)
They both are "superior potential" with Atk/Def/Sp.Def maxed and bad sp.atk. However one also has bad Speed. Does this mean that his HP is most likely higher than the other one, since both are still "superior" as far as the IV guy goes?

Obviously I can rare candy 'em up and check, but wondering anyway.

I think it's a sexy beast. It's dragon/flying and it outspeeds both mega charizard x and mega blaziken and can potentially one-shot both. Not sure about charizard y.

Aye, that's propably the reason it doesn't auto-scale upwards. Thanks for the offer, but I'll just wait for gamesynch to update and give my 50 rare candies for me.

That way I can save, feed 'em bunch of candies (I figure 10-20 level outta be enough to see HP difference already) and just reload and do it whenever I want for any other IV checkings.

To others, especially those who don't have a Gen 5 game or a Timid Zoroark, they're worthwhile.

In an even trade, you can probably get another good natured breedable Pokemon of your choice.

Nah, I bred mine with Jolly nature. Mega Pinsir is 5 base speed faster than most megas you see, and I just want to outspeed 'em. But yeah, got a few good max atk/def jolly pinsirs or something like that.
