What GOOD came out of this gen for this guy?

A week ago I'd have written something filled with further doomsaying, but I grew weary as the weekend peaked.

So, rather than focusing on how much he has been shafted and neglected, I want to hear what changed for the better regarding Gallade, or at least went smoothly.

Such good changes DO exist - the closure of past weekend confirmed it beyond all doubt that Gallade challenge at Secret Training allows for Dawn stones to be obtained far earlier in the game than ever before in the history of franchise - [at least, as long as someone wishes to farm these minigames] - thus allowing this pokemon to be used well before the gameplay gets exhausted.

Question is, is there anything more in the way of the nice and fine things in that regard?
