finally got myself a protean greninja (pic unrelated), what is a good move set for this guy?

So far I was thinking

1.extrasensory
2.focus blast
3.dark pulse
4.surf

thoughts?

and yeah ice beam would be nice but i wouldnt feel safe being a mono ice type for a turn

Switch focus blast for ice beam, surf for scald. Does protean give STAB, by the way? Or does your "true" type remain water / dark and thus can only give STAB to those types of move. If the former, consider cutting out dark pulse. Dark is a thoroughly mediocre typing.

i was under the impression it gives you STAB since your type changes before you make the attack, what would you suggest as an alternative to dark pulse? shadow ball ?

Shadow ball would be good (immunity to fighting moves, which people will try and hit you with given you're originally dark-type, and retains the same supereffctivities Dark Pulse had), go for that. Would especially be good for use immediately after ice beam.
