Is there any way to tell that I hit 252 in a stat in Super Training? This chart is useless or I'm being paranoid.

Count them yourself. If you hit 255 the game will tell you can't train him anymore in that stat, but if you really want it to be exactly 252, you will have to count them yourself, like before.

Save, use a reset bag.

It'll show you exactly how many you had in a given stat.

You can't hit 255 anymore. The cap is now 252.

Yet bizzarely the total cap is still 510, so some EVs will be wasted regardless.

That's not true. SE stops raising EVs when they hit 252.

Not true. The cap for EVs (confirmed for super training, not sure for actual EV training) in XY is 252, you can't go above that.
