>>14809013 Technically, damage is calculated by taking (Def or SpDef, depending on move attacking type) defense and multiplying it by HP to determine percentage damage taken.
Essentially, the math here is that the defense and HP stats should be as close as possible to minimize damage taken; 6*6 is larger than 5*7 and 4*8, right? Squares maximize area relative to perimeter.
So what you want is EVENNESS. Now, the reason why HP is generally a good investment is that a point there is essentially the same as a point in BOTH def and SpDef because the HP stat is used both times. But technically any mon with an HP stat higher than its defense stat can take a physical hit better if you up defense.

I'm enjoying the fuck out of the game so far. Over 40 hours played and I haven't even made it to the third gym yet. Like what the fuck. Is it true that the end of the game is rushed and that I'll end up getting to the 5th and 6th gym really quickly compared to say, the 2nd and 3rd gyms?

What's a good place to farm Sync Pokemon? Ralts is just fucking rare and I have no idea of where Abra appears

>>14811117 Abra appears on route 5 I tried farming for Sync pokemon there too but I always got the ability that stops him from flinching instead. Don't think it's any better than the ralts area tbh.

So let me get this straight: Gardevoir can't actually learn any fairy type moves until after the 6th gym?this determines if I switch her out for Medicham
