Not when you have a x2 bag and fight the level 3 balloons. You get 24 points, compared to the like 2 points per Pokemon you'll fight in the wild.

Get the related Power (item), pokerus, and a horde-wipe attack. This means that a horde of any pokemon that gives 1 EV would give 10. A horde of 5 of them, that you can kill in one attack? 50 of that single EV.

SO, Let's get some horde pokemon in here.

So, for those of you saying Super Training is faster, it's REALLY not. 50 EV from ONE attack. That's quite a bit more than 24 from one Super Training session that takes time to start, about 15 seconds at LEAST to win, and about 30 seconds to finish back to start.

Sweet Scent takes about ~5 seconds. You use the one-hit area of effect attack. That's about 10 seconds at most for dying animation and all the messages. Then you're back and ready to use Sweet Scent again.

17 seconds from confirming minigame to first shot
17 seconds from final shot hitting to being dropped back into minigame menu spam tapping past rewards

Super training is only good for EV training during the main game. I love it though, I don't have to worry about suboptimal EVs and having to find 11 of some hard to get berry just to reset them later on.

have you not EV trained before gen 6 because using 10 protein, carbos, etc.. then training with a power item + pokerus is fuck loads faster than super training once you find the right spots dumb shit.

In a battle you have to watch all the stupid animations, even if you do turn them off you still have to watch the battle load up and the pokemon get revealed, and that takes long enough on it's own, I can clear a super training course in 4 seconds, and then use a Large bag in another 5 seconds, that's 16 EV's into whatever stat every 9/10 seconds. And your EV yield is 1 to 3 in the wild? How in the shit can that be FASTER?!

Placing a pokemon with pokerus in the PC will pause the 2-day timer. In the mean time, use it in your party while you battle. Doesn't even have to be used. That'll spread pokerus to your other pokes.

You have access to 4chan. I'm GIVING AWAY pokerus, because it's not hard to spread once you have it. The items cost 16 bp, thats 13 battles in any regular level Battle Maison or 8 in the Super battles. Hordes are insta-summoned with a pokemon that knows sweet scent. Which can be obtained early game (combee, among others, who ALSO has honey gather, which has the same effect of horde summoning).

It really doesn't take too long to set up for ALL your pokemon at once. get one of each item, one pokemon with pokerus, and one pokemon with sweet scent. Then you can power-train EVERY one of your other pokemon.

To spread pokerus, have the pokemon that has it touching another pokemon in your party whilst you battle. Neither the pokerus pokemon nor the pokemon to spread it to are required to actually battle. It took me two battles to spread it to the seven venipedes I'm giving out.

You have two days to make use of pokerus (or at least to spread it) before it becomes noninfectious. This means the pokemon that had it still gets the benefit, but can no longer spread it themselves. To prevent this, keep the pokemon in the PC when midnight rolls around to skip the "day passed" timer

Not sure how much (if anything) changed in Gen 6, but:

Pokerus remains active ~2 days. This time doesn't count down while the Pokemons in the box, only in your team. Inactive Pokerus still gives EV boost but can't be spread.

Pokerus is spread to neighboring Pokemon on your team when battling. People with inactive Pokerus cannot contract it again, so make sure the order of your team is set up accordingly. (though I haven't actually tested if it jumps pokemon in Gen 6). Usually only takes a couple of battles to spread it.

So basically keep one or more Pokerus spreader in your box and bring it out to infect new Pokemon you want to train. Put it back in the box before saving and taking a break and always have an unused back-up just in case.

The training items increase the gains you get. The pokemon themselves give the EV values. Hordes are just a super-efficient way to go about it.

Since I caught a shiny spinda while EV training Special attack by fighting hordes of them, let's use them as an example.

Normally, each spinda gives you 1 Special Attack EV. A horde has 5 spindas (of considerably lower level) all at once. That's 5 EV's right there. Now, the training items add 4 EV's to each spinda. That's 25 Special Attack EVs for ONE battle. Add pokerus to the mix. The number is DOUBLED. 50 Special Attack EV in One battle against 5 level 28 spindas, which can easily be killed with an area of effect attack.

Super Training's home page has that punching bag. Hit it enough, and you'll eventually find an item called a reset bag. That sets all EVs back to 0. You'd have to retrain the pokemon, but that's the best you can do if you fuck up training.

Ehhh, L bags take a fair bit (50 hits at 2-3 hits per second, so 17 to 25 seconds?), so while you do save some time, the games are arguably more enjoyable. I alternate between all the stats I need to raise until my bags are full, then use them all up, then return to the games.

Once you get horde training set up, however, it's about twice to three times as fast. What, five battles to max a stat, each taking a minute to find and complete, you max your stats in 10 minutes.
