Personally, I love using a Timid Volcarona carrying Leftovers with:
Fiery Dance/Bug Buzz/Substitute/Quiver Dance

The idea is that Volcarona can beat anything after 6 Quiver Dance, even stuff that quad resists it. So you might as well make sure you can set up, safe from Thunder Wave, Toxic and every non-Power Gem special attacks.

I've beaten a lot of Heatran with this set, which is quite amazing.
