So what's acceptable to send out on Wonder Trade?

Obviously not Shitmon like Bunnelby or Flabebe. But what about things like recently-bred starters you don't want?

I think of that as making some little kid's day by getting one of the starters he didn't pick.

What's acceptable and what's not?

I think that determining what is acceptable to trade via Wonder Trade is the player's choice. If they want to send me a fire monkey, so be it; I lose nothing because in the meantime I'm sending them a goddamn bunny named Obamacare.

For me, acceptable pokes are:

Rare wild mons, like murkrow/skarmory/etc
All version exclusive mons
All breeding leftovers (obv you arn't going to be breeding weedles all fucking day)
Starters
Fully evolved pokes (ie bibarel furret vileplume etc)

Trying it out for the first time I just sent out a regular Beedrill and got back an Absol a few towns earlier from where you can first catch them. It was a nice surprise, and I still have it in my party.

I'd consider anything not easily attainable by catching through a casual run is wondertrade material. Dumping starters, for instance, is a pretty good service for those casual players who just want to fill out their 'dex.

I just send off breeding rejects and leave any shitmons I get in the box so they don't rejoin the cycle and I get pokemiles and more numbers for the lotto

I've gotten an awful lot of nices and O-powers from random people by sending them relatively nice things, like timid magic guard abras, adamant DD tyrunts, squirtles with their new egg moves, or just eevees with no particular standout qualities that I didn't intend to evolve into sychronizers because they had shit natures

What bothers me is that of all the nice things I've sent out, it was the fucking eevees that got the most feedback

I spend my days breeding for competitive pokemon. I take the dozens/hundreds that aren't perfect, and WT them. When I get a good pokemon, I chain it. When I get a shitmon, I release it.

I can't fix the system, but my system doesn't really inconvenience me, so why not?

I actually get joy out of sending good shit. Sometimes I breed good shit just to wonder trade it because I imagine the smile on someone's face when they see it pop up... they see its summary and realize it has great stats and a rare ability, and something I created maybe ends up on someone's team.

Well, before I deleted my save, I was trading off really good things (nature bred Skrelp, mostly) and got mostly shit things in return.
I've just started a new save and am Wonderlocking. For 5 Caterpie/Bunnelby/Pidgey I got the following:
Lv. 1 Ralts (Timid, Japan)
Lv. 20 Eevee (Singapore)
Lv. 10 Skiddo (Japan)
Lv. 1 Scyther (France)
Lv. 1 Scraggy (UK)

It's almost as if you put shit out and get diamonds, while if you put out diamonds you get shit. So backwards.

if I only have 1 gym badge does that mean I can only wonder trade with people who also have only 1 gym badge, or did they make it so I cant get high leveled pokemon too early in the game?

I've been absolutely smashing through my pokedex so I've been breeding a lot of pokemon that you can't catch the earlier evolution of in the game. I give these away on wondertrade often. I've given away a munchlax, a wynaut, a bonsly and an igglybuff so far, along with some other commons and a few starters I've bred.

Best I've gotten back so far was a Japanese Minccino and a Barbacle with Pokerus. The rest was garbage starter zone stuff.

Still, I do hope people have appreciated some of the mons I've sent out

Scored 2 jap Honedges,1 brave and 1 adamant with perfect att IVs that im hyped to start breeding. Managed to nab a jap Golett and Haunter(Gengar) as well. Also got a ShitRabbit named Downs as the very last trade. I was almost mad but it was holding a hyper potion so i was okay with it

From what I've seen,WT has improved at least a little bit. Nothing I got was too uncommon aside from 3 starters but since most could be used for shiny breeding I didnt mind too much.

I bred out a bunch of modest Fennekins and Claunchers with pokerus in order to get some rare Vivillons (which resulted in 95% elegant patterns, fucking japanese), and I sent out about a dozen or so of them through wonder trade for the hell of it.

I got one Ditto which I sent back out since I had a better one, a few meh-tier pokemon found in the second half of the game, and then the rest were rabbits.

Any chemical rush I get from being charitable and cool is negated by the fact that I don't even get a "Nice!" from anyone, through wonder trade or GTS. I don't care too much if I'm the only one not trading shitmons, but fuck, at least give me that much.
