I actually liked it when gen 4 expanded on unfinished stories from previous gens.

Why? Kabutops don't even have the bug type and it doesn't looks similar at all. It would get a form and not a new dex entry if it was kabutops.

Whoever made that's an idiot. Especially the chest and pelvis thing. Genesect has a thorax abdomen thing going, like an insect, which isn't at all like Kabutops's body.

Azure Dragon (Thunderus)
Vermillion Bird (Tornadus)
White Tiger (Landorus)

apparently. The fourth is Black Tortoise.

Well they can't make it too much like Kabutops otherwise it would just look like a re-colored Kabutops, and there would be no originality.

Also, Kabuto pokemon entry:
"It is thought to have inhabited beaches 300 million years ago. It is protected by a stiff shell"

and Genesect's
"Over 300 million years ago, it was feared as the strongest of hunters. It has been modified by Team Plasma."

Kabuto's entry is the only one of the ancient pokemon to mention a time it was around.

Probably their secondary type without Rock, chumpass.

The only one to question would be Cranidos since it's pure rock

I believe the Therian Beasts were based off the mythical beasts of the North, South, East and West.

My understanding of it all is based off watching Beyblades in the 9th Grade so that's you'll have to take what I say with a grain of salt.
