If it was like that in Gen 4, then I wouldn't risk it to be honest. That guide was made yesterday when people were complaining about the Radar being harder to use in Gen 6. I think it takes into account having prior knowledge of Gen 4's Radar.

So i finally found a Shiny Ditto after catching 4 boxes worth but it dosnt have Imposter so its fucking useless soooooo am i better off turning my game off and not saving since i saved right before i found it or would the odds/ratios to finding a 2nd one compare to restarting and finding a 1st one again be the same regardless what i do????... if that even made sense

The rate of encountering a shiny will allways be the same, wether or not you recently met one or met one just after saving the game. Please just capture it.

Don't fucking restart. The odds are the same, the Ditto you next run into will NOT be the same if you restart your game. Keep the Ditto as a trophy, or trade it to someone in the thread if you really don't want it.

The parent Steelix was holding Everstone and had Impish nature so the shiny Onix has Impish nature too. Ability is Rock Head. I was actually hoping for Sturdy but I really don't feel like complaining at the moment.

As a side note, this is the fifth shiny I've had in my life and the first one not to be a random encounter.

Also, you can't use GTS to search for shinies can you? You'd have to browse a pokemon looking for the shinies.

So what started as simply trying to get a female Ralts has evolved (heh) into trying to get a shiny, female Ralts with at worst a nature that doesn't do anything, at best one with a modest nature. If it's male and shiny, I'll probably try to get something decent for it. Hopefully Mewtwo but I feel that is asking too much. He's just my favorite Pokemon and has been since Yellow version. So yeah, hopefully this won't take me forever.

I've been looking on GTS and a lot of the ditto trades want a level 21-30 Ditto. Why is this? You can get one in the Pokemon Forest just fine but it's level 40

That's how Masuda's method works, right? I just breed as normal, but with two different region pokemon.

So I'm mm breeding for a Shiny Adamant Torchic (hopefully with speedboost) my male is japanese with 31 IV's in atk/sp.def/speed, same thing for my female but it's usa. I also have another usa female I could use, but with IV's in atk/def/speed.
