I just finished all the missions and damn, best story related content in any Pokemon game ever. Almost as good as Neo Team Rocket.

There are three alleys on North boulevard. Check one, see if he's there, choose an action and he'll run away. Rinse and repeat until you do this three times.

I don't get the hate for this sub-plot, it's actually cool.
I'd play a game like that with Looker being the protag with even some Phoenix Wright tier gameplay in it combined with pokèmon.

Think of the possibilities.

There are people that hate it? Wow, how can you hate such a fun set of missions?

I would give anything for an OVA based on the missions, it was so much fun and a lot better than some of the other story shit such as B/W2.

Best part for me? Malva and her Butler.

I found the missions were sorta bleh it until they got to Xerosic. Then I really hated it. My favorite part was probably Malva and her Butler, the rest was bad. Gamefreak should try and force feels, all it does is make me cringe.
