Can I Max EV a level 1 Pokemon just by using Super Training?

How much easier/faster is it to defeat the 100+ hordes?

If I only EV train a Pokemon up to level 50, how much less beneficial to it's stats is it than to train it to level 100 (since the battles I partake in are level-capped to 50)?

You can Super Train any level pokemon.

The best thing is you can do it the moment you get your starter.

And Horde training is technically faster if you're using power items and pokerus

Super Training you can just do.

EV training has nothing to do with level.

Sure, it's not hard to do either if you enjoy doing Balloons. Just remember that you do more 'damage' when you have more EVs so Level 3 balloons with 0 EVs can take too long to do.

And the game won't let you put more than 252 in a stat so it'll tell you that it can't train in that stat anymore.

at Lvl 50 the difference between a non trainer and a trainer pkmn stats is jsut 15/16 points. at level 100 it's 31/32

So that means after a level 50 cap (dividing everything by 2) it only makes 1 or 2 stat points of a difference, right? I can live with that.

I don't have any of those. There was a thread explaining where to get a Pokemon with sweet scent and the routes for Pokemon to defeat with the EV's they'll give but I lost it. I didn't see a mention of how to acquire the items though.

If you wanted to know:

Horde locations:
Spinda - Route 21: Special Attack

Swablu - Route 21: Special Defense

Geodude - Last Room of Victory Road: Defense

Scraggy - Route 5, Scyther - Route 21 (RARE), Ekans - Route 14: Attack

Zubat - Connecting Cave: Speed

Whismur - Connecting Cave: HP

Sweet Scent and Honey can both be gotten from Combees.

Power items are 16 BP each at the Battle Maison in the post game city.

Thank you. Macho Brace only halves your speed when it's held and does NOT effect Speed EV's earned, correct?

Also, how hard is it to get the Battle Points?

Macho Brace is basically all of the Power Items put together, right?

If you got money to spend, you can buy 10 vitamins for the stats you want to increase. Each Vitamin (Iron, Zinc, etc) increases that EV by 10, but you can only use 10 vitamins for that stat. So 100 effort free EVs, meaning you only have to gind the last 152 of it.

Macho Brace and the power items all lower your speed only when held, yes.

They are not functionally the same thing though. Macho brace doubles the EVs you earn in battle, the power items give you +4 EVs per pokemon, the type of EV depends on the item. So for example, if you held a power lens and fought a spinda, you'd get +5 (1 from spinda, 4 from power lens), but using a macho brace, you'd only get +2.

So let's say I'm EV training for Special Attack...it's always better to used Special Lens over Macho Brace since each Pokemon in a horde only give's 1 or 2 EV's, correct? Or can some give more?

Yeah, with just power lens you'd be getting 25 EVs per spinda horde, 50 if you have pokerus too. I was doing that last night without pokerus and it took maybe 15-20 minutes to max out my special attack.

Damn, 50 EV's per horde? That's a full stat in 6 Surf's!

So that means if I defeat 6 horde's of Spinda with a random strong Pokemon holding Special Lens while Exp. Share is turned on than my Lvl 1 unused Pokemon will have Max EV'd on Special Attack? (I think I said that right...?)

The pokemon that's being trained in those EVs needs to hold the power item and have pokerus to get 50 per horde, but yes, other than that you got it.
