I managed to get a Larvitar with max IV's in HP, Attack, Def, and Sp Defense. I will need to find a female / Ditto with perfect IV's in Speed.
Then, I can breed until I get a larvitar with 5 perfect IV's. From there, what can I do? If I find a japanese ditto with 3 perfect IV's and the correct nature, do I just put destiny knot on the larvitar, everstone on the ditto, and hope for the best?
Or am I better off using a 5 perfect IV larvitar / 5 perfect IV larvitar with everstone and therefore guarantee the shiny has good IVs, even though I won't be able to do MM that way?
