Females now pass Egg moves. Males are still useful for being universal parents.

Males can only pass on hidden abilities when bred with a Ditto.

When bred with a normal ability female, the eggs all turn out to be normal abilities.

Ditto are still great for passing down natures and IVs to start with.
Especially since friend safari ditto is guaranteed two perfect IVs.

Actually, all that matters is that the female is of a different species. It doesn't have to be ditto.
