I'm EV training 4 special sweepers at the same time on route 12 thanks to Wingull hordes and Mareep hordes.

Its going a little slower than expected but could it be because I don't have PokeRus?

Battling to EV train, may be faster and more efficient given the right circumstances. But for that I need to remember which Pokemon give out what EVs, which route is the best and so forth.

It becomes a question of convenience vs speed.

Your stats will be higher if you level a fully EV trained pokemon from level one. Compared to battling and leveling as you EV train.

That's wrong though, it adjusts stats after every battle. You can EV train a Level 100 Pokemon and it'll be the same as if you trained it from a Level 1 if they have the IV's and Nature.

No, Power items are better. Say you defeat a 'Mon worth 1 EV. PokeRus doubles that and the Brace doubles it again. You end up with 4. The same 'Mon is worth 10 with a Power Item which adds 4 which is then doubled by PokeRus.

Why is the Mon worth 10 automatically instead of 1?

If I do a horde battle and it gets doubled because of Brace wont I get 10 Ev points, but if I do a horde battle with a power item, isnt it just 5+4

Making Brace just a little faster. Ignoring PokeRus because I don't have that

My fiance ended up being a fucking pro at the super training, so I just let him do that. He knocks it out faster than I usually EV train traditionally so I just let him have fun and tell him which stats I want.

Then I get tons of free stones when I let him play the secret training which is very yay

Ooh I think I get it, I was thinking because I was knocking out all 5 pokemon at once it only applied the +4 once since it says the +4 is given every time XP is gained and the XP gain only happens in one big jump instead of 5 separate times.

Even without pokerus you're getting 25 per battle, which is more than level 3 trainging + an L bag.

In one battle that ends in one move.

And it really isn't hard to get pokerus.

No, as someone who has EV trained using hordes I can confirm that wearing the proper power item after a battle will give you 25, not 10

With pokerus that number goes up to 50 EVs in one battle, making it by far the fastest way to train

I have a Honedge with max IVs in HP/ATK/DEF/SPDEF
I then used 10 HP Ups and 10 Proteins because I was going to Super Train the rest.
But now I've come across this, but I don't have any of the Power items from the Maison.
Is it still worth the trouble of battling hordes if I only have a Macho Brace and no Pokerus?
