I didn't think anything could top black and whites elite 4 theme but this game might have managed to do it. And x and y have easily the best champion theme ever besides maybe the original green theme.

I agree, by far the most disappointing thing about pokemon games these days is how much fucking easier it is. At least I fought the elite 4 with all level 60 pokemon instead of faggots who used EXP share and had 75 + mons.

Come on that's such a bullshit argument. No game should teach a player how to play and then not expect them to play that way. It should provide a real challenge and test all the players knowledge he gained throughout the playthrough. And don't even say that "since gen 3" shit. Gen 3 and 4 tried to be a lot more challenging than 5 and 6. Still had to fight the E4 in a set order with no breaks in between. They all had a full team of mons. How can you argue against that shit?

Pokemon will NEVER be challenging again thanks to the advent of EV training. And to say that shouldn't be an excuse for no challenge then why don't we just GF hack the game like they did for the Emerald Frontier.

Lance was pretty much the only major character with an overtly heroic personality. Every other gym leader and elite four member from that point on was pretty much just doing their own thing not giving a shit, with the exception of Blue, who was your rival, and Giovanni, who was your main enemy. Every other battle against Team Rocket in gen 1 or 2 you're pretty much on your own, Lance is the only one who gets off his ass and does something about them.

The E4 battle theme is really cool for techno. It reminds me a lot of F-Zero GX.

The Champion theme is pleasant sounding but it's very chord-centric. The melody is pretty sparse. It's mostly just changing chords.
