Anyone done it successfully yet? As in actually got to a 40 chain? My highest is a miserable 15 or so. But I just started about an hour ago, took awhile to figure it out. Pokeradar general.

I was amazing at it on pearl, managed to catch 3 shinies a day.

Sometimes bushes spawn that just say 'theres no pokemon here' or something. You need to check bushes at least 4 squares away from you. Some people say that checking ones on the edge of the grass area will screw it up but I haven't had that happen yet.

I've had multiple 35-38 chains break so far, that's all... Really irritating, I can't wait until the new mechanics get properly explored.

I did it with Skiddo, managed to get 40 exactly. it was a bitch though
