I thought it was just some little easter egg for shits and giggles like some of the other creepy stuff Pokemon has pulled. For instance, the lady near Snowpoint City in that really creepy, dark house that disappears after you leave and come back.

But even then she gave/left an item, didn't she? This girl didn't do anything except scare the shit out of someone who wasn't expecting something like this to happen just for trying not to miss anything.

After the letdown Scary House was I would have welcomed witnessing the ghost girl unspoilered though...

Use teleport behind the sign and you're teleported to the dying old man's house in Anistar City. Not sure if it works before the old man dies, considering he was dead at the time I found out about this, but give it a try. Nothing else apart from that has happened, however.

The dying man in Anistar does exist. He asks to care for a pokemon. If you give him one and come back a few days later you'll get your pokeball back as it lies in the middle of the room with a note and a meteor shard for making his last few days happy.

There's actually four power plants. You visit one in the story (microwave space energy) but the other three, while having their own entrances and overworld models, are all locked up.

And yes, one of them is powered by heat, one by combustion, one by gases.

You're actually forced to capture Xerneas/Yveltal. If you knock them out you're taken back to the battle again until you catch it.

That's why the game gives you the Master Ball before the legendary battle, even if you haven't bought Pokeballs you should have at least one secured catch. The story requires you to battle alongside with the legendary Pokémon against Lysandre.

Another mystery (at least I'm not certain about): did anyone else encounter that dude standing by a trash can in Lumiose, I think it was? In one of the office buildings. He said something along the lines of "I'm the trash can inspector for Kalos. I haven't found anything yet" and walks away from you.

I didn't find him again, and every trash can I found and checked in the game was empty. Can anyone confirm I wasn't just hallucinating that I found this NPC?

Cave of Emptiness is weird.

It contains Banettite, but then, the other two Cave places on the map feature Pokemon in them, yet it's empty except for Spooky Plate and Dragon Plate, which would maybe suggest Giratina.

It has to be an event location. Other empty-until-a-certain-point cave locations had legendaries appear (Mewtwo in Pokemon Village, legendary bird in Sea Spirit's Den), and the cave has no wild Pokemon in it. No cave is ever like that, excepting any event legendary caves that don't come to mind right now.

I can't imagine it serving any other purpose being in the game; why the hell would they place a single-room cave with no wild Pokemon and only two relatively-unimportant items in it?

I checked the garden both at six and at seven. In the soltros pokemon. I figured it would add up since the guy in the pyroar garden said the king didnt allow people to look at his garden at certain times. Maybe I have the time wrong? Maybe its 12:35 or something.

I feel like the Palace gardens are just... hedges styled to look like Pokemon. Kind of like Whitney's Clefairy hedges in gen 2. Maybe there's something in the "only certain times" thing, but I very much doubt it.

Someone should catch a Rotom and go talk to the elevator girl with the Rotom in your team between 8 and 9pm and see if anything happens. Rotom has been involved in some weird shit before and the elevator thing could be related to it.

Which to me means bring her an item/pokemon. Hex Maniacs use ghosts, people already tried Gengar, Trevenant, Gorgeist, etc, but I don't think anyone's tried Rotom yet. So yeah.
