How do I make this guy good?

Seriously, I want to use him but hes done nothing for me in pvp except deliver consistent failure.

Do you know what bulletproof exactly does? I cant find an exact description yet, only people guessing it makes you immune to things like shadow ball and stuff.

Even then, what do I do about moves? Should I just not use spikey shield at all?

Anything that doesn't make DIRECT contact, displays the phrase, "Not very effective", after the move (So basically half damage everywhere)

So ya, combine that with spiky shield, and his Sp. Def almost, ALMOST, doesn't matter.

Also, despite the text changing to "Not very effective", Super effective moves still SEEM to be doing normal damage, not SE damage.

The problem is I don't know who to use as my sixth. I'm not trying to be a smogonfag, but Chesnaught is honestly so terrible I can't even have fun with him in casual competitive play.
