I actually really liked 4Kids' stuff when they weren't changing the storyline or censoring things. They were pretty good at casting stuff; I can only think of a few 4Kids voices I didn't like. Even with the negatives considered, I think they did a better job with Pokemon than the people who are doing it now. I can't even stand to watch the show now. I feel really sorry for the VAs that got replaced: they were told they wouldn't be needed anymore, and that was the end of the conversation, according to Veronica Taylor. She said that she learned a lot from playing Ash, and the fact that he always looked on the bright side helped her get over the fact that they fired her as an opportunity to find new roles. Poor woman, she's a huge fan of the franchise, too. I rarely hear her nowadays. New York VA scene must be crap since 4Kids DID give a lot of jobs, and they're nearly dead.
Dubbing bitchfit aside, I always think of these whenever I eat jelly donuts. That reminds me, I actually need to try onigiri... is it any good?
