Anyone else sad that shinies will become "worthless" come December?

I wish GF made a clean cut. This would be their chance at eradicating all pokegenned and RNGabused pokemon and the 1234151535 shinies that stem from it.

This isn't necessarily true. A perfectly hacked Pokemon might pass the current legality checker. Let's hope that Gen 6's legality checker will be improved though.

Question, its says at 40 you can just keep resetting till the shiny grass appears, what is the best way to do this?

Ive never chained before but I want to be ready, could I stand next to the grass area walking along the edge to keep recharging till I see it or can I not leave the grass?

Welp, I've found 2 shinies in the past hour.

Found a shiny Sigilyph, and I ran out of pokeballs, that felt real bad.

Then I found a horde of Nosepass and one of them was shiny, caught that fucker. Now I got a yellow Nosepass. No idea what I'll do with it, I don't really want it that badly...

In all my time playing Pokemon, I've never seen a shiny (except for the red Gyarados ). I just assumed that I've had bad luck, and today that was confirmed. I finally found my first shiny, and it was a graveler. Sure, it looked like shit, but hey, a shiny is a shiny.

So, I sent out my Hawlucha, in hopes that Hawlucha would not OHKO him. Not that it mattered, of course, since on the first round of the battle, Graveler used explosion, barely harming my Hawlucha, but knocking out Graveler before I even had a chance to hit him.

All I feel is hatred and pain. My first shiny, lost to me. I should have used my master ball on him.

Just got this guy while IVing a proper one, still has perfect IVs in SpAtk and Speed but the wrong ability, can be changed with the capsule though.

Would've prefered HP Fire over HP Steel though, but it's not bad.

If you plan on taking an egg every now and again you can almost guarantee that you'll have an egg ready for you by the time you hatch the first one (very odd if there wont be one in that amount of time)

I was planning on rolling through a few Friend Safaris anyway because I'm going to need Paras. Hoppip, and Togetic just to get the 31 Speed IVs from one of my foreign Vivillions to a Hoothoot. At least my Ditto has 31 HP IVs though, so I don't have to catch another 7 Pokemon to get those over too.

So I'm pretty new to shiny hunting and before embarking on such a (potentially) lengthy quest, I have a few questions:
When using Masuda Method do you typically use Foreign ditto+pokemon you want shiny and have the correct nature on ditto+everstone? Is there a way to control IVs with this as well?
Also, I know about flame body halving steps but is there anything else that makes hatching eggs go quicker? Hatch them as I get them, hatch 5 at a time, more/less?? Any other general tips?
