What is the best build for goodra?

I built mine like this

>calm
>252 Sp. Def/Def. 4 Sp. A
>sludge wave
>draco meteor
>muddy water
>rest/flamethrower

C'mon bro, you even got the nature / IVs of a special wall, why would you try and make them a tanky sweeper instead?

I said Flamethrower to deal with Steel Types but then I realized that I was retarded.
Thunder or Dragon Pulse would do fine.

Whatever you do, don't build SP.DEF for Goodra, it isnt needed.

I have myne with SP.A, SPD, and bit of HP,
With a nature that hynders Special Defense, and its still the best fucking stat.

Also, i run this:

Item: Expert Belt
Dragon Pulse
Sludge Bomb
Ice Beam
Muddy Water

Pretty much. I'm still wondering if Hydration or Gooey is better though.
Hydration is great, especially with his stats, but due to the weather nerf you need both dance AND rest on him. Atleast Gooey gives him 4 slots and is a useable ability

Gooey is about the best saving grace for Goodra I think. It can wall Special just fine, but all someone needs to do is switch in a physical to rape it in turn. Gooey of course makes them pay for doing that, and then ether forces a switch, allowing your next 'mon set up, or you garenteed to outspeed them. It's just a really great back-up ability to cover for his weakness.

It pains me to hear that seeing I just hatched a Hydration Goomy. Both his parents had gooey, so its just bad luck. Im not sure if its worth going through +20 boxes again though

Yes. He can't be salvaged in areas like speed and physical defence. He's going to get outsped and kill in one physical hit, wether you train it or not. He's good as a special wall, let Gooey take care of punishing physical hits.
