Dedenne is fantastic.

It's so self sufficient, it can cover its weaknesses and then heal itself.

It's peter out in usefulness a little as you go on but that changes when it learns Play Rough and becomes Dedenne the Dragon Killa.

I'm really surprised with all the half-fairy type single stage guaranteed NU overlords this gen. Dedenne is easily the best Pikaclone, Carbink is Shuckle but better, and Klefki can be a disaster for your opponent if used right.

Purely in terms of style:

Emolga > Plusle/Minun > Dedenne > Pachirisu

Emolga actually has original stuff going on as a flying squirrel, and while Dedenne is probably the cutest its design is basically just a fusion of Marill and Raichu which knocks it down.

But fuck Pachirisu, so dumb-looking.

At first I hated him due to his design, but it grew on me.
Then he learned bounce.
I then realized that he fought by having the trainer throw him at his enemies.
Then he started destroying things, regardless of his bad stats and move pool.
Then he started destroying randoms and legendaries online, not people who knew what they were doing though.

I don't know why, but he is just great

Florges was my pokebro (er, pokesis if it was a female?), which I did not at all anticipate. I caught a Flabebe for the hell of it even though I hated its design, trained it to Floette and thought "Oh, that's much nicer" but its stats still sucked.

Then came the Dawn Stone, and Glorious Mother Florges. She's not "uber-fast" but definitely has great speed, really good special attack and godly special defense. Plus she gets all these great Grass-type moves without the problem of actually having to be Grass-type.

She was more useful for me than Aegislash
