Obviously mixed. You can't pass on U-Turn.

Protean with free STAB makes it really viable. Also, no point in forcing yourself to have a Dark move when you have U-Turn already since you get STAB in everything.

Can anyone figure out Mat Block? When I used it, it worked against some damaging moves, but not others. At the moment, it looks like protect is way better.

This guy is correct (But you really need Protean).

Greninja is either physical or special - there is no in between, and really, with that 95 base attack, he doesn't have the physical moves to justify a physical sweeping set.

SPA with Spikes or U-Turn is the only real option here.

Confirmed you do become Ground via Protean when using Spikes.
