Safari Pokemon have two perfect IVs. As Ditto can breed with any breedable pokemon, Dittos with perfect IVs are incredibly, incredibly useful.

they have stats tied to thier levels so the difference will give an idea of iv's

No, the Ace Trainer in the Kiloude Pokemon Center will tell you which IVs are perfect.

They're good for getting perfect IVs....Unfortunately you can't get a perfect MM shiny this way because I believe you would need a Japanese Ditto with 5 Perfect IVs which is borderline impossible at the moment it seems since they can't be bred/ The Pokemon you are breeding with 5 Perfect IVs that has to be foreign.

Just breed two Safari pokes with the IVs you want and give one a Destiny Knot. Do that over and over.

How is that related to anything? Dittos can't be bred so the IVs you got you're stuck with and again you would need a foreign one....And the opposite gender of the one you are breeding also has to be foreign with near perfect IVs....All you can do is hope someone from another country has it which they likely don't.

You don't need a foreign Ditto for a shiny. It just makes it slightly more slightly. Do want anon said and Destiny Knot breed.
