My problem with Skarmory is just that I don't remember him having a flying appearance in any of the other sprites. Of course he had wings, but in this one, he's just spread out and floating, so it was so awkward after he's been standing on the ground forever.

Apparently all his sprites have had his wings stretched out, but he's still standing on the ground in each and with his head up high. The animation/model in X/Y he's stretched out with his head forward like he's flying at you.

And that means that all birds have to be flying in their idles or they can't particupate, which is dumb since one of the benfits of 3d models is that they can have as many animations as they want without having to redraw entire sprite sets.
