The specific patterns that appear seem changed (i.e. haven't noticed paw-print and some others) but that guide doesn't go too far into those. Generally reset until you see something like a 4 with a 2 or non-adjacent 3, but you start to get a feel for what's write and wrong anyways. Even if you do it perfectly and only enter the safest patches, there's still something like a 2% chance it'll fail so get comfy and prepare to have your heart broken a few times. It'll get easier once people start compiling good/bad patterns.

3. Get more eggs

6. go to the center, stick a penny or whatever for it to automatically move
7. check if it hatches
8. go to the pokemon center to box every hatched egg then get more eggs
9. once ran out, fly back to the daycare and repeat 1-4
Normal people:
1. Get eggs from the daycare man right outside
2. Left and Right till it hatches and pick up more eggs while going back
3. when full box hatched mons just deposit in the daycare house
4. repeat steps 1-3
You spend 5 more steps per attempt with your method
