Okay, /vp/. I fucking suck at Pokemon. I'm trying to get better but first I need to identify what I'm doing wrong. I'm talking just about clearing the game, not competitive battling.

So, I'll tell you what I usually do:
>Try to have 3-4 Pokemon
>2-3 HM slaves
>Try to have good type coverage across my Pokemon
>Try to have different moves for better type coverage

But what seems to happen is that I choose bad Pokemon, or I choose bad types, or I end up underleveled. Sometimes I try out a cool Pokemon and when it's not working I stop using it.

What ends up happening:
>Get to elite four
>Get owned
>Shitty type coverage
>Get discouraged

I literally feel like I have no sense of direction or purpose because I'm fucking bad and I have no idea how to improve.

Help?
