Are Shiny Pokemon Still Rare in this game?

I got Shiny Seviper and Shiny Jigglypuff within the first 10 minutes of doing that friend safari thing. IS anyone else not having a problem finding shiny pokemon?

They still are pretty hard to get, but chainings back, and it's also theorized that they are more common in the friend Safari.
That's just a rumor though, nothing but Anecdotes to back it up.

I've been playing since Gen 1 consistently. I've racked up hundreds of hours in Blue, Yellow, Gold, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, XD, Pearl, Platinum, Black, and White 2. I have about 70 hours in X so far. I have NEVER seen a shiny. Like, EVER. I got Pokerus back in Platinum, but that's it.

Like, statistically, I'd assume it's night impossible that I haven't seen one yet. And I'm not counting Gyarados or Haxorus.

over a hundred hours in I have yet to find one in a random encounter. :/ My shinies are all from trades and the Pokéradar, and there's only like two spots the Pokéradar can be properly used in. I went all the way through B/W without ever catching a shiny. I saw one in the D/P safari zone, but it ran on the first turn.

Then I got one early on in B/W2, and another early on in X/Y. Your luck will change eventually too.

About to take on the 7th gym. Encountered a lot of Pokes. No shiny yet.

I've have shitty luck and have only caught 2 shiny mons in my whole Pokemon career. both were Wurmples in Ruby within 2 weeks of each other. Both evolved into Dustox too.

I have found a shiny in every single play through of a Pokemon game I have played, until X/Y beaten both and still have not run into one MM Beldum right now and Gastly on the other. Tried the friend safari for 5+ hours and nothing there either. Every other game I have ran into random shinies never even had to try.
