I MIGHT like III over IV but if I do it's only by a tiny bit, and even if I like Hoenn better than Sinnoh, I can't prefer III to IV because of all the mechanics that got improved.

B/W kept me occupied for a long time, liked the new designs and battle mechanics were the best of the series

G/S/C were fucking legendary, logged so much time on those bad boys

X is amazing, but it feels unfinished. If free updates come out it will maintain its position. If paid DLC comes out it will drop to dead last.

Not even discussing R/B/Y

R/S/E had trumpets, and water

D/P were easily the worst of the series, but that said I still logged about 400 hours on my Pearl, so.

5 loses points because they took out the fucking Pokeradar. But otherwise the gens have pretty much only got better. Quality of life in VI is far better than any of the previous games, and showed the most improvement.

Although I like all the gens, Gen 5 was my least favorite. I was going to put 4 as least but I really enjoyed Platinum and Soul Silver.

This however includes every Pokemon game, and Pt/HGSS/BW2 are all better than XY due to an existent postgame. I'm sure as the generation drags on, everything will return to it's natural order.

The only thing it removed was cross-generational trading (temporarily) and day/night. Still kept the Battle Tower from Crystal, Dark/Steel, the fixed game mechanics, trainer rematches, etc.

And I'd say Abilties > Cross-generational Trading.

6th gen isn't over. We can't judge it compared to all other games yet. Whatever remakes may or may not come out and the inevitable X2 and Y2 or Z version will greatly impact the overall appeal of this generation. Just wait for it all.

Putting anything but 5 first is just wrong, BW2 had an absolutely ridiculous amount of stuff in it, and fixed every problem that BW had.

But we'll see how this holds up when Z comes out. I'm judging IV based on Platinum and III based on Emerald, so it's not fair to judge VI on Y if there might be a Z or possibly (though not likely) sequels, right?

Honestly its hard for me to rank 2 and 3 since I never had them when the gens were new.
Being a poorfag kinda sucks.
I played the hell out of gen 4, at least 500 hours
Also, I`ve never owned any one the 3rd games (so no emerald, I played ruby)
So is emerald really that good? Everyone seems to fawn over it.
