When a Ditto transforms into another Pokemon, does it take on that Pokemon's capture rate as well?
If I were to go Ditto hunting with a Yveltal/Xerneas in the front of my party, how would it work out?

Yes, and it's terrible if you have the wrong pokemon out.

Ditto retains its catch rate. It's just a lot easier if you force it to transform into a derpmon

It may have changed this gen, but tricking it into transforming into pidgey was how I got dittos last gen

i think it was changed this gen, in the past it worked good having it change in to a pokemon with super easy catch rate, but when i was getting them in pokemon x, it didn't seem to help much

It was changed in Gen V to a constant 35 catch rate.

oh yea, sause is that I've been catching them all day. No real difference between when it transforms to the jigglypuff I was using or hydreigon I'm currently using
