Just because they added something new/different doesn't mean they'll take it out of the next game. Past games had new additions that continued in the following games (roaming legends, battle tower like places, methods for shiny catching, etc). Beauty contest and season are minor junk that got scrapped since no one really cared. People care about customization.

People cared about follower pokemon too and GF still got rid of those.

Face it, customization is frivolous, however fun it may be. GF will find a way to scrap it and focus on some other "new" feature for their next game

Customization ties in with external aspects of the game, such as friend activities and GL.

there are other ways to social network, customization isnt really necessary. it helps a little, but gamefreak has gotten rid of so many nice little things in the past, it wouldn't be surprising at all if they scrapped customization too.

I'd rather they do customization of hair, eyes, and clothes in the beginning and leave it like that, like most other games do, but I don't see them dropping customization, since its easy with 3D models.

I've ignored pokemon-amie and super training so far, I don't really care about petting or mini-games, even if there are benefits
